Speakers

Our two speakers – Deborah Hulme and Nicholas Wardle – will look at the psychological and practical elements of providing a great employee experience (EX).

Deborah Hulme – Neuroleader, founder of Minerva Engagement

Deborah, founder of Minerva Engagement and a neuroleader, communication and engagement specialist, will explore the relationship between psychological safety and EX.

“A psychologically safe organisation is one that understands our core needs and drivers of employee behaviour,” says Deborah. “When these needs are met, then  EX is enhanced, along with the performance and wellbeing of the organisation.”

“I’ll be offering my insights on these core needs and how, as communicators, building our understanding of brain capacity and our biological need for social connection is key to delivering high performance and a rewarding EX.”

Nicholas Wardle – Head of Employee Engagement and Comms at One Housing

Nicholas, who is head of employee engagement and comms at One Housing and co-creator of the Employee Experience Opportunity, will use his experience on the IC front line to offer practical tips on how to engage with employees.

“Employee Experience (EX) has been the poor relation to Customer Experience for too long, but organisations are increasingly aware that EX is where a competitive edge can be gained; and internal communicators have a vital role in shaping the effective modern workplace” says Nicholas, who is a member of the Engage for Success steering committee and current IoIC IC manager/leader of the year.

The event takes place at The Office Group – 2 Stephen St, Fitzrovia, W1T 1AN in June 2020 (date TBC). Tickets are priced at £25 + VAT each including refreshments and a free copy of the Modern Employee Experience Report 2020, which Sequel published this month.
