Working with Little Angel Theatre

Sequel is actively supporting Islington-based Little Angel Theatre – the ‘Home of British Puppetry’ – by creating a video to support its vital theatre restoration campaign.

As well as producing high-quality productions, the theatre works with schools, youth and community groups through its Education Programme and provides training courses for puppeteers and puppet makers.

In November 2013 it launched its Restoration SOS Capital Campaign for urgent improvements for the building, a short walk away from Sequel’s offices. Sequel is providing the theatre with comms support, including flyers, throughout 2014.

The newly-launched video stars actor Stephen Mangan (Green Wing and Episodes)  who is supporting the Capital Campaign – helping the theatre towards raising £60,000 for essential repairs.

The campaign addresses three key areas:

1)      Structural and safety improvements – fixing their leaky roof, replacing outdated and tatty signage, and restoring the degraded brickwork.

2)      Reduce environmental impact – replacing their ancient boiler and insufficient heating system, as well as adding insulation to the ceiling and around ill-fitting doors.

3)      Improving access and audience experience – improvements will include installing a visual fire alarm and adding an induction hearing loop in the auditorium.
